‘Real critical moment in human history’: AI dubbed more dangerous than nuclear weapons

​The Australian Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says the dangers of AI are greater than those of nuclear weapons. ​“This is a real critical moment in the history of human civilisation,” Mr Sheridan told News24. ​“AI is a danger at a different level. ​“AI has shown that it can break free of the people who set it up, and it can take independent action, and if it wants to, it could take independent action against human beings. ​“Trying to manage that is incredibly difficult, I mean I’ve got the greatest respect for Jonathon Dunium and Richard Miles but really what they say doesn’t matter two hoots about the threats of AI.”
