The Australian’s Editor-at-Large Paul Kelly says there is an “epic” ongoing “power struggle” between the centre-right parties. “We’ve got now an epic power struggle on the centre-right of politics, between the Liberal Party and the Coalition on one hand, and One Nation on the other,” Mr Kelly told News24 host Sharri Markson. “This election is going to determine not just whether Anthony Albanese continues to govern; this election is going to determine which party is the dominant party on the centre-right of politics. “The issue here is who’s going to dominate the future centre-right of Australian politics, a pretty important issue.”
