Polish man makes history after breaking world record and swimming across the Baltic Sea

A Polish man has become the first to swim across the Baltic Sea. Bartlomiej Kubkowski spent more than two days in the water, swimming for over 50 hours from Sweden to Poland and travelling a total distance of 160 kilometres. During the marathon swim, he was supported by a safety boat giving him food and water. The record swim raised more than $200,000 for cancer support.
