‘Police should have been a lot quicker’: Two-hour Sydney Marathon response

Former New South Wales Police minister David Elliott criticises the police response to pro-Palestinian protesters at the Sydney Marathon. “That is a delayed response; that is very disappointing because it was clear that those people were intimidating helpless athletes,” Mr Elliott told News24 host Jaimee Rogers. “It’s just ridiculous the amount of influence that is occurring at our sporting events. “The response by police probably should have been a lot quicker.”
