Victoria Opposition Leader Jess Wilson promises a major overhaul of the state’s criminal justice system, accusing Labor of allowing the rights of offenders to outweigh those of victims. “This system has operated in New South Wales for a century, and it has operated well; this is a very common-sense decision,” Ms Wilson told News24 host Peta Credlin. “It’s actually ensuring that we’re seeing victims at the centre of our criminal justice system. “At the moment I think that the pendulum has swung way too far in favour of the perpetrator. “I’m not going to apologise for making the decisions required.”
