Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has spoken out in her first interview since her Washington DC home was raided by federal agents last week. Ms Omar fears her address has been exposed due to the raid, and it’s not feasible to be in the house with her kids. Homeland Security agents seized over a dozen items from her home during the raid, including mobile phones and notebooks, as part of what they call an ongoing federal criminal investigation. The search follows doubt about the politician’s US citizenship, which she received in 2000 after arriving from Kenya. She has criticised the investigation, claiming it was meant to intimidate her as well as intimidate voters ahead of the midterms.
