MST Financial Senior Energy Analyst Saul Kavonic warns Australia is bringing too little new electricity generation online as coal capacity shuts down. “This is why we’ve seen prices continue to rise on average over the last several years,” Mr Kavonic told News24 host Jaimee Rogers. “It’s because we’re not investing enough capacity, so forget the technology type; overall, there’s not enough new supply coming online. “Energy drives everything … that’s now suffering.”
