IPA Chief Economist Adam Creighton rips into New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for his “ridiculous” taxpayer-funded grocery stores. “By the end of next year, there will be five government-owned grocery stores in New York City,” Mr Creighton told News24 host Jaimee Rogers. “It’s going to cost $US70 million, and the idea is that a core range of goods will be 30 per cent cheaper than the so-called market price. “It’s just a completely ridiculous idea.”
