The North American trade war is reigniting as Canada announced it will enact retaliatory tariffs on the United States. It follows the recent decision by the White House to impose a 50 per cent tariff on more than $1 billion of Canadian products. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney weighed in on the US tariffs, describing them as “unfair” and saying they “undermine the net benefits for Canada and call into question the reliability of any deal".
