More than 10 migrants die trying to reach Spanish shores

17 migrants have died trying to reach the shores of Spain’s Balearic Islands after 15 days of travel. Two survivors of the 19 migrants who were rescued from a boat off the coast of Mallorca were sent to hospital after showing signs of malnutrition and dehydration. This comes as local authorities say they are struggling to cope with the number of migrants who entered Ceuta in last week’s border rush. It’s estimated around 70,000 migrants have now returned to Morocco over the past couple of days.
