New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has shrugged off calls for him to skip the 9/11 memorial service on the 25th anniversary of the terror attacks. Former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani, who served during the terror attacks, asserted Mamdani should not attend the service. “Having lost friends there and being very close to many of the families, it offends me that he's coming,” Giuliani said. “The reality is this ceremony is for the families and for America to remember historically.” During an interview with ABC 7 Eyewitness News, Mamdani asserted the memorial will focus on the “families” and “first responders”.
