Opposition Leader Angus Taylor has vowed to slash the tobacco excise by 80 per cent to crack down on organised crime. “If we are to smash organised crime … in this country, we need to get the price of legal cigarettes down towards parity with illegal,” Mr Taylor told News24 Political Editor Andrew Clennell. “Right now, Labor’s policies are funding organised crime and that is completely unacceptable.”
