JD Vance lauds Sophie Cunningham's ‘courageous’ defence of women's sports

US Vice President JD Vance has praised Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham’s “courageous” activism for women’s sports. Vance commented on Cunningham’s defence during an interview on Fox News’ ‘The Ingraham Angle’ with host Laura Ingraham. Following Cunningham’s remarks in an ESPN interview and subsequent doubling down, the WNBA star faced widespread praise and criticism. “Look, sometimes when you're courageous in this country, some of the worst people in the world will try to attack you,” Vance said. “What I would tell Sophie and anybody is to keep speaking your mind. You actually are inspiring a dozen people for every person that criticises you.”
