Jared Kushner departs Jerusalem as Gaza peace talks stall over Hamas disarming

US Envoy Jared Kushner has left Jerusalem without a breakthrough on US President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan. Mr Kushner met Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog on separate occasions as the peace process reached a deadlock over the issue of Hamas’ disarmament. Talks with Mr Netanyahu come a day after the US Envoy held discussions with the Hamas leader in Egypt. Israel’s President commended parts of the plan in a post on X.
