James Paterson blasts David Shoebridge as 'morally repugnant' for wanting to outsource defence

Shadow Defence Minister James Paterson questions newly elected Greens Leader David Shoebridge on his logic behind wanting to “outsource” Australia’s defence. “So effectively David Shoebridge and the Greens want to outsource our defence and foreign policy to Russia,” Mr Paterson told News24. “If you follow this logic … we wouldn’t even step in to assist New Zealand if Russia invaded them tomorrow, unless Russia allow us to do so. “It is morally repugnant and it is strategically reckless, particularly in a dangerous world.”
