Former Labor Minister Stephen Conroy argues growing frustration over inequality and cuts to government programs is being exploited by what he describes as hooligans on the hard left. “Like in Spain, people are being told, oh, we've got to cut back, we've got to cut spending in all these government programs, and Le Pen's talking about wanting cuts, cuts, cuts,” Mr Conroy told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. “And yet kids are not able to get basic buildings. “You've got a situation where all of the grievances about the, you know, gap between the richest and the poorest are now being capitalised on by, you know, hooligans, the hard left.”
