‘It is not your friend’: Stark warning for young Aussies choosing AI partners over real people

Assistant Technology and Digital Economy Minister Andrew Charlton reacts to reports that young Australians are leaving their human partners in favour of AI bots. “I hope that these technologies help bring us together and not drive us further apart,” Mr Charlton told News24 Political Editor Andrew Clennell. “I think every Australian needs to have conversations with their family about how to use AI. “Don’t let AI become your friend.
