‘I just don’t like it’: Hanson stands by 1996 Mardi Gras remarks

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson responds to a resurfaced 1996 ABC interview in which she stated she does not like the gay Mardi Gras. “I think the world has changed and moved on from there, and then we’ve been passed in Australia, in the parliament, to have gay marriage,” Ms Hanson told News24 Political Editor Andrew Clennell. “People can do what they want in their life. Do I like the gay Mardi Gras? No, and I’ll tell you that now. “I just don’t like the gay Mardi Gras.”
