‘How would we survive?’: Politicians urged to tread carefully on immigration

​Former New South Wales Liberal leader Kerry Chikarovski calls for politicians to be “very careful” when approaching Australia’s complex immigration issue. ​“The issue for us as a country, you mentioned a couple of the industries which are reliant on labour coming into the country,” Ms Chikarovski told News24. ​“How would we survive if we didn’t have all the people coming into the country at the moment who are going into aged care? ​“I think that we need to be very careful that we don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater here by just saying we’re going to slash and burn, which I think tends to be the approach that One Nation is having.”
