‘Growing anger’: Hundreds of UK locals take to streets as migrant arrivals fuel fury

News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power reports hundreds of protesters gathered in Gosport following the arrival of migrants who crossed the English Channel from France. “Let's turn to the UK. We're seeing growing anger there. Again, locals taking to the streets to protest the arrival of illegal migrants crossing the English Channel,” Ms Power said. “Protesters gathered in a seaside town as migrants arrived in a dinghy after crossing the English Channel from France on Sunday. “French media reported that there were around 120 migrants on board the vessel, which marks the third such crossing from the area in the space of just one month. “Hundreds, around 350 demonstrators gathered near Gosport following reports that authorities were waiting and ready for the arrival, preparing for the arrival of this vessel.”
