‘Government's message is a lie’: Radio host blasts green energy transition costs

Radio 2CC host Stephen Cenatiempo says the government's message on the transition to green energy “is a lie”. “Even if you’re one hundred per cent on with the whole climate change evangelism, why would you pay an extra dollar when you’ve been fed this steady diet of this is the cheapest form of electricity; we are going to bring your electricity prices down,” Mr Cenatiempo told News24 host Chris Kenny. “Why would anyone say, 'yeah, I’ll pay an extra dollar for the transition'? “It’s counterintuitive to what the government's message is, despite the fact that we all know the government's message is a lie.”
