‘Global issue’: Drones illegally flying near air bases triggering concern

Droneshield CEO Angus Bean says drone incursions have become a “global issue” as drones are being found flying near air bases around Australia. “Deeply concerning, the increase of drone incursions we’re seeing,” Mr Bean told News24. “This is not an Australia only issue, it’s a global issue. “Counter drone technology is a layered approach … radio frequency detection, radars and optics to actually detect the drone. “The second thing is to mitigate that threat, and we use things like radio frequency disruption as well as a cyber takeover approach to do that.”
