​News24 US Analyst Michael Ware says President Donald Trump’s claim to have control of the Strait of Hormuz is “very much divorced from the reality" on the ground. ​“It doesn’t matter how much President Trump tries to dress it up, whether that’s for an audience in Iran, whether it’s for an audience with allies in the Middle East, or whether it’s for an audience here domestically,” Mr Ware told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. ​“We arrived here for a four-to six-week war, and we’re now going through our sixth month, and we can’t say that we’ve really succeeded yet.”
