‘Germans are sick and tired’: Far-right party AfD wins key state election

Germany’s far-right party Alternative for Germany has won a key state election. Exit polls are showing a historic result as its support has almost doubled. AfD has secured 44 per cent of the vote in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, according to exit polls. “Germans are sick and tired of politics being run against their own people, and that is what we have stood against,” AfD co-leader Alice Weidel said.
