Further demonstrations planned as India’s ‘cockroach’ leaders released

Police say India has released the leaders of an influential protest movement, after thousands were arrested during widespread demonstrations in major cities. Leaders of the “cockroach movement”, consisting of youths who are discontent over government policies towards them, pledge to hold more protests after the release. “Protests are on, protests will go on,” Cockroach Party Spokesperson Saurav Das said.
