France's top court has rejected a bill that would have implemented a ban on social media for those under the age of 15. The Constitutional Council ruled that the proposed legislation would disproportionately infringe on freedom of expression and communication. French lawmakers last month voted overwhelmingly in favour of the bill following the lead of Australia's own landmark ban this year. French President Emmanuel Macron has tasked his Prime Minister with reworking the bill, reiterating his vision to implement the ban early next year.
