Expert remains sceptical in the face of fresh US deal with Hamas

Democratic strategist Jim Kessler says he’s not buying the newly announced US deal with Hamas, which would see them disarmed. “One of the things Donald Trump is very good at is announcing victory and a deal, then a week or two later we don’t have victory or a deal,” Mr Kessler told News24. “Hamas is a notoriously tricky, sneaky, oily negotiator. What they say they’ll do, they don’t always do. “I’m sceptical … I’d love to see a deal.”
