Economic impact of Iran conflict to have greater effect on US midterms than war itself

​Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney believes the economic consequences of the Iran war will have a greater effect on US midterms than the war itself. ​“The midterms are going to be impacted by the war, but more, I think … by the economic impact,” Mr Mulvaney told News24. ​“Americans don’t vote based on foreign policy; they vote basically based on economic policy. ​“Right now the economy is not as good as the Republicans would like it to be.”
