Criminal attorney reveals whether Christa Pike’s botched execution changes her fate

US Criminal Defence Attorney Andrea Lyon analyses the fate of Christa Pike following her botched execution, commenting they may not try to execute Ms Pike again. “It may or may not change her status … sometimes when that happens, the powers that be decide not to try again, and sometimes they try again,” Ms Lyon told News24. “Christa Pike’s death sentence is very much out of proportion to what she did and who she is and her co-defendants. “A lot of the mitigating evidence that was available was not presented to the jury … they were not told that she was a survivor of child sexual abuse.”
