Democrat called out over false immigrant claim

California Democrat Xavier Becerra is facing backlash after it was uncovered that he deceived everyone about his family’s history. Chair of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County Roxanne Hoge mocks Mr Becerra’s false heritage claims. “It’s the political version of I was born a poor black child”, Ms Hoge told News24 host James Morrow. “This guy was never the son of immigrants; I think his understanding is that they identified as immigrants.”
