Executive Director of the Coalition for Affordability and Prosperity Chuck Flint discusses the early morning call between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, saying Australia wants some “tariff relief” and possible threats from China. “The tariffs were one of the things they talked about … I know Australia obviously wants some tariff relief; we have a flat 12.5 per cent tariff on Australia,” Mr Flint told News24 host Rowan Dean. “Then AUKUS was another part of the call. Obviously, China is still a big threat, not only for Australia but for the US; they’re our biggest geopolitical threat we face.”
