One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson accuses state and federal leaders of failing to act after protesters gathered outside the Sydney Opera House following the October 7 attacks, condemning chants targeting Jewish people as a national disgrace. “A mob turned up on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. The sails were lit blue and white in memory of the dead. Then a vile mob came to celebrate with flares and fireworks, chanting, where are the Jews and worse,” Ms Hanson said. “It was nothing short of a national disgrace. And what did the police commissioner do? What did the state premier do? They told Jewish Sydneysiders to stay home. This was Australia's first warning. “Canberra heard it and did nothing.”
