Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney reacts to the arrest of an armed man in California after being found near US President Donald Trump’s golf course. “This was another mentally ill person who decided that he was going to try to harm the President of the United States,” Mr Mulvaney told News24 host James Morrow. “This has happened more and more … it’s a fairly intense time right now, much more so than it was even during the first Trump term. “It’s worrisome to all of us on both sides of the aisle that more and more people in the country seem to be more interested in taking violence into their own hands.”
