Broadcaster demands Archbishop’s resignation over award to bin Laden sympathiser

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue spoke on the controversy surrounding the Archbishop of Canterbury, who faces calls to resign after granting and later rescinding an interfaith harmony award to an Islamic leader known for praising Osama bin Laden. “She shouldn't have even been appointed in the first place. I am repeatedly astonished by how poorly the church of England manages to do its own due diligence with the kind of people it appoints,” Ms Krakue told News24. “This is the second story in the matter of days of the church of England doing something spectacularly stupid.”
