‘Leftist cancel culture’ criticised as Ed Sheeran faces backlash over tour controversy

Liberal Waverley Councillor Michelle Stephenson has criticised left-wing cancel culture while commenting on the recent controversies surrounding Ed Sheeran’s tour. “He kind of got thrown into something he wasn't fully equipped to handle,” Mr Stephenson told News24. “I feel really bad for what's happened to him; he’s taken the heat for something he did not do. “The left just wants to cancel you if you don't agree with them or if you don't come out swinging.”
