News24 host Samara Gill raises concerns that lucrative asylum accommodation deals could leave British families struggling to find somewhere to live. “While British families struggle to find somewhere affordable to live, it has also been revealed that landlords are being offered £4,500 a month to house asylum seekers,” Ms Gill said. “That's more than double the £1,700 offered by the local council to house families. “A landlord said that accepting the deal could put existing British families at risk of homelessness.”
