Alarming footage of Manchester Pride protests raises concerns for glorification of gender surgeries

Political commentator Lucy Zelic reacts to footage of the Manchester Pride protests and declares trans rights cannot come at the cost of women’s rights. “Allow us to come into your spaces and do all of this while we’re declaring that we’re perverts,” Ms Zelic told News24 host Danica De Giorgio. “The one that made me the most sad in all of that, was this almost glorification of top surgery. “Trans people are also human beings, and we need to give them respect and show them compassion and kindness, but the point that needs to be made very, very clear in all of this is that it cannot come at the cost of women’s rights.”
