‘A real wake-up call’: Ceuta a possible turning point for open borders

​News24 host James Morrow believes the invasion of Ceuta has been a “real wake-up call” for European nations. ​“You've seen a lot of these nations that were previously all like open borders, even Germany…Ursula von der Leyen, the EU chief, saying we can’t let this happen,” Mr Morrow told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. ​“They did the whole open borders thing in 2015…that’s why the Christmas markets are like surrounded by security and bollards, and it’s not because of the Presbyterians.”
