‘A disdain for veterans’: Matt Keogh savaged over ‘failure’ to show leadership

Fair Care for Veterans Spokesperson John Armfield condemns Veterans Affairs Minister Matt Keogh’s treatment of veterans. “We went into his office, and we sat down before he arrived. On entering, he said hello, went and took his seat and said, ' What are you guys here for,” Mr Armfield told News24 Political Editor Andrew Clennell. “Being the minister of both defence personnel and the minister of veterans’ affairs, I feel Minister Keogh has some obligation to show some respect and to also lead, which is a big thing that Minister Keogh is failing to do. “There is a disdain that I think when you speak to the veteran community and those serving that’s been obvious since he was appointed minister.”
