Singapore unveils S$900m support package amid Middle East crisis

Singapore will roll out a S$900 million support package to help households and businesses cope with rising costs linked to the Middle East crisis and higher energy prices. Measures include an additional S$300 in CDC voucher for every Singaporean household, enhanced U-Save rebates, increased ComCare support, cash grants for eligible SMEs and rental relief for hawkers and market stallholders. The Government says it will continue monitoring the situation and respond if conditions worsen. Claudia Lim and Aldrina Thirunagaran report.
