Singapore's economy received a US$22 billion boost from aviation-related activity last year — the largest among ASEAN countries. With passenger traffic across the region expected to more than double over the next decade, more investment will be needed to expand airport capacity. These findings were revealed in a new study by an industry group representing airports across the region. It's estimated that airports in the ASEAN region will need about US$108 billion in investment by 2036. Charlotte Lim reports.
