Singapore deploys police and forensic team to aid Nepal disaster relief

17 Singapore Police Force officers and two forensic officers from the Health Sciences Authority have headed to Nepal to support relief efforts after devastating flash floods hit the Nepal-China border. Singapore announced last week that it would deploy officers specialising in disaster victim identification, following a request from Nepal. Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Second Minister for Home Affairs Sim Ann was at Changi Airport on Tuesday (Sep 1) to send off the advance team.
