New Tampines North facility brings nursing home, day care and community support under one roof

A new senior-care model in Tampines North is bringing nursing home, day care and community support under one roof, with a focus on helping seniors stay active and connected. The new St Andrew's Mission Hospital (SAMH) facility features purposefully designed and dementia-friendly spaces, to help seniors age well. It is also SAMH’s first co-located care facility without perimeter fencing, designed to feel more open and accessible. It can serve more than 270 nursing home residents and up to 60 day-care clients daily. Sherlyn Seah reports.
