Nepal-Tibet disaster: Rescue work resumes, risk of flooding from new lake remains

Two lakes have emerged - one on each side of the border between Nepal and China. Officials had earlier warned of a breach in the banks of the lake on the Tibetan side. They say there are still risks and they will continue to monitor the situation. Chinese state media says rescuers have reached the epicentre of the mudslide in Tibet. There's still no account for about a thousand people. In Nepal, the death toll has risen to almost 540 while China says five people have died on its side. Operations continue to find survivors from a tunnel at a hydropower project in Rasuwa. Beijing has offered assistance on rescue efforts. Chinese President Xi Jinping held an emergency meeting on the deadly deluge. Tan Yew Guan with the latest from Shanghai.
