In his National Day Message on Saturday (Aug 8 ), Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong acknowledged that many Singaporean families are feeling increasingly stretched. He said that the government will take a “fresh look” at issues like the cost of raising children, access to affordable infant care and child care, as well as other ways to lighten the load on families.
