Minding manners on buses: Feet on seats, loud audio among behaviours that can draw fines from Sep 23

Commuters who blast loud audio, litter or put their feet on bus seats could soon face fines of up to S$500 dollars. For serious offences like endangering others, they could be fined for up to $5,000. The new rules which takes effect from Wednesday will also give authorised staff the authority to flag suspected offences for investigation. Authorities say discretion will still be exercised, particularly for commuters with physical or mental health conditions. Sabrina Ng reports.
