Kenneth Tiong asks about legal protection for NSmen at work

Singapore has guidelines and legislation to ensure that National Service (NS) obligations do not become a liability for workers, said Minister of State for Manpower Foo Cexiang in parliament on Wednesday (Sep 9). He was responding to Aljunied GRC MP Kenneth Tiong, who asked whether Singapore should provide legal protection against workplace discrimination linked to NS obligations, citing protections for reservists in the US and Australia.
