Popular bookstore drew the shutters at its Jurong Point outlet for the final time on Sunday (Sep 13), ending 31 years of operation as the mall prepares for retail redevelopment. A crowd of patrons gathered outside the store as staff gave a final farewell, telling them: “Thank you everyone for patronising us for the past 31 years. It’s been our honour to serve you in Popular Jurong Point.
