India and Japan have reaffirmed their commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific, after a meeting between their top defence officials in New Delhi. Japanese defence minister Shinjiro Koizumi and his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh welcomed strengthened military cooperation, while expressing strong opposition to any unilateral actions to change the status quo in the region.
