Hong Kong bids final farewell to first post-handover leader Tung Chee-hwa

Hong Kong’s first Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa was given a final send-off at a state funeral on Sunday (Sep 20), attended by city leaders and senior officials from Beijing. Tung took office after Hong Kong’s 1997 handover from Britain to China, with his tenure spanning the Asian Financial Crisis and the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak.
